Spiders Add Six on National Signing Day

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The future is bright for the University of Richmond women's soccer program.

Spider head coach Marty Beall has announced the signing of six student-athletes for 2018 Signing Day. The Class of 2022 boasts players from four different states – two from Maryland and Virginia, and one from Ohio and Iowa.

"We are very excited to add these six players to our team this fall," Beall said. "They bring a wealth of experience that will help us build a competitive program in the A-10."

Alyssa Hendricks - #14
Midfield | Grimes, Iowa | Shattuck St. Mary's (MN)
Hendricks had the unique experience of playing at Shattuck St. Mary's through her high school career. While at the school, which offers a club soccer program, the midfielder has led her squad to the State Cup finals as a freshman and junior, as well as regionals with the U19 team as a sophomore.

Victoria Huxtable - #29
Defense | Columbia, Md. | Atholton | Bethesda SC ECNL
Huxtable comes to Richmond after starting all four years at Atholton High. The two-time team captain earned All-State First Team, Second Team and Honorable mention honors through her career, while also collecting All-County honors all four years and All-Metro accolades as a senior. Huxtable also captained Bethesda SC ECNL, a 2017 ECNL National Qualifier squad.

Evyn Magenbauer - #10
Midfield | Salem, Va. | Salem | Salem Sabres FC
A two-time team captain who is set to enter her senior season this spring, Magenbauer bounced back from a season-ending injury during her freshman season to earn multiple accolades. The midfielder has earned First Team All-Conference honors twice, while being recognized on both the First and Second All-Region Teams after leading her team to a State Runner-Up finish in 2016 and 2017. Magenbauer was also named First Team All-State, First Team All-Timesland, Team MVP and the Conference 24 Player of the Year as a junior.

Molly Morgan - #5
Forward/Defense | Upper Arlington, Ohio | Upper Arlington| Ohio Premier ECNL
A three-year varsity starter at Upper Arlington High, Morgan earned First Team All-Conference honors all three seasons, as well as two First Team All-District honors. A double-threat playing on both ends of the field, Morgan led the team in scoring through her three years, leading her team to the District title and Regional Semifinals in 2015. Her Ohio Premier ECNL team made three National Playoff appearances, including an Elite 8 berth in 2017.

Sarah Nguyen - #13
Defense | Falls Church, Va. | J.E.B. Stuart | VA Washington Spirit Development Academy
Nguyen was a three-year varsity starter at J.E.B. Stuart High for coach Jack McAuley, earning First Team All-Capital Conference honors in 2016 and 2017. The defender led her team to the Capital Conference title and VA 5A North Region Semifinals in 2017. Nguyen's VA Washington Spirit Development Academy team won the 2015 Washington Spirit Super Y national Championship while also qualifying for the final and the State Cup final four in 2016.

Camryn Williams - #24
Midfield | Saint Leonard, Md. | Calvert | Calvert Elite Soccer Club
A four-year letterwinner at Calvert High, Williams comes to Richmond after a standout senior year. The two-time captain and 2017 Team MVP was named to the 2017 All-State First Team, All-Met Honorable Mention, All-SMAC First Team and All-County First Team. Williams was also named the 2017 SMAC Outstanding Player and Calvert County Girls Soccer Athlete of the Year. She helped Calvert to the 2014 Maryland 2A State Title, as well as three Regional Titles.
