Spiders Post Strong Showing on Day One of ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. -- On the first day of the ECAC Championship, the Spiders had strong performances among elite competition. Freshman Brooke Fazio continued her stellar rookie campaign as she finished third in the 800m race. Fazio crossed the line at 2:07.79 while sophomore Maria Acosta placed 17th at 2:11.53.
In the 1,500m race, senior Marisa Ruskan continued her standout career as she finished fourth in the event in a time of 4:23.91. Also representing the Spiders in the race were sophomore Claire Brown (4:32.70) and freshman Caroline Robelen (4:37.77), who finished 18th and 27th, respectively. Junior Eryn Mills logged a top-15 finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at 10:46.29. Colleen Carney crossed the line at 16:56.26 while sophomore Peyton McGovern crossed at 17:11.94 in the 5,000m.
