Jeff Nixon is one of the finest football players in UR history. He holds the season (eight) and career (23) records for interceptions at Richmond. He is a three-time All-America selection (1976-78), including a consensus A-A following his senior season, and was named First Team by five different organizations following his senior year. Born Oct. 13, 1956, in Germany, he grew up in Triangle, Va. He was a fourth round NFL draft pick in and played with the Buffalo Bills from 1979 to 1984 until a knee injury ended his career. He led the Bills in interceptions (6) during his rookie season.
