Leonard McNeal

Leonard McNeal was an athletic trainer, served as Physical Education teacher and tennis coach at Richmond. He coached the Southern Conference individual and doubles champions in 1956-57. A one-time chair of Physical Education Department, McNeal was named to the National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 1988. McNeal was born on November 7, 1923 in Brockville, Ontario Canada. The renovated UR Sports Medicine Center has been named the Dr. Leonard McNeal Sports Medicine Center in his honor.
