RICHMOND, Va. -
Several Spider student-athletes have garnered a host of postseason awards recognizing their accomplishments both on the playing field and in the classroom. In addition to placing ten players on All Atlantic 10 football teams, Richmond had eight players selected to the All-Atlantic 10 academic teams. Spider women's soccer player Jaclyn Raveia was tabbed the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar Athlete of the Year and men's soccer player Craig Ziadie was voted the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. Junior forward Heather Rice was named an All-America in field hockey and garnered first-team all-conference honors for a second consecutive season.
On the hardwood, Spider men's basketball player Greg Stevenson was tabbed first-team all-CAA, Tim Faulconer was named to the conference's all-defensive team and Scott Kauffman was selected to the all-academic team.
