Richmond Golfers Second At Liberty Ramada Classic

Lynchburg, Va. - The University of Richmond golf team is second out of 11 teams after the first round of the Liberty Ramada Classic at The Water's Edge Country Club in Lynchburg, Va. The Spiders shot 289, one shot over par and seven strokes behind first-place Penn State.
Senior Joe Horowitz (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) and junior Mark DiGiacomo (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon Catholic) are tied for fourth at one-under-par 71, two shots behind the individual leaders. Junior Ryan McLain (South Hadley, Mass./South Hadley) is tied for 10th at one-over-par 73. Senior Bryan Stark (Herndon, Va./Herndon) and sophomore Steve Lessing (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) are tied for 17th at two-over-par 74.
The tournament's final round will be held on Tuesday, April 10.
