PITTSBURGH, Pa.-Freshman Brooke Binswanger (Memphis Tenn.) tallied three points in the University of Richmond women's soccer 3-0 defeat over Duquesne tonight. The Spiders improve to 5-5-2 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play, while the Dukes fall to 6-5-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in the Atlantic 10.
Junior Meghan Ogilvie (Springfield, Va.) netted the first goal of the game after converting off a pass from senior Edda Gardarsdottir's (Reykjavik, Iceland) corner kick at the 5:07 mark. The second was notched in the 43rd minute by Binswanger, who later assisted junior Whitney Sikes (Charlotte N.C.) on her goal at 72:12.
Senior goalkeeper Megan Cox tallied one save, while Duquesne goalie recorded eight.
The Spiders will be in action at St. Bonaventure at noon on Sunday, October 12th.
