Men's Tennis Defeats JMU 6-1

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team defeated JMU 6-1 on Saturday, March 15, at Godwin Courts. The Spiders improve to 7-8 with the win.
The Spiders won the doubles points as all three Richmond duos earned victories. In their debut at the No. 1 spot, Niki Doll and Derek Schwandt paired to take a 9-8 win in the tiebreaker. Jeppy Moss and David Donn earned an 8-5 win at the No. 2 spot and in the No. 3 position, Matt Cabana and Dan Scrafford easily defeated their JMU opponents 8-2.
The Spiders won five of six singles matches as four of the contests were decided in straight sets.
Richmond returns home on Tuesday, March 18 when they host George Mason at 2:30 p.m.
