Golf's Tyler Randol Receives A-10 Performer of the Week.

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond's baseball, lacrosse, and track and field teams all earned Atlantic 10 honors this week, as announced by the league today. Junior right-hander Tim Stauffer (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) earned his second-consecutive Pitcher of the Week honor. Golf's Tyler Randol (Lawrence, N.Y.) received Performer of the Week, while lacrosse attack Katie Dolan (Towson, Md.) received Player of the Week. Spider track and field student-athletes' Kevin Rhue (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Ashley Bell (Glen Allen, Va.) finished the tally with Performer of the Week accolades.
Randal, playing in his seventh career event, earned A-10 Performer of the Week after tying for 11th at the El Diablo Intercollegiate in Citrus Springs, Fla. He posted his first career top-15 finish and shot a career-low 70 in the first round. Randol shot a three-round 221 (70-78-73) at the par-75 El Diablo Golf and Country Club, marking his first two-career rounds under-par.
A preseason All-American, Stauffer earned his second A-10 Pitcher of the Week. In Richmond's 2-1 win over cross-town rival VCU, the junior ace fanned nine batters. He hurled his second complete game of the season to post a 3-0 record in four starts. Stauffer leads the bullpen in strikeouts with 45, while only walking six.
Dolan, a senior, scored a team-high four goals in Richmond's 12-5 win over conference opponent Duquesne on Sunday, March 16. In addition, she added a goal and an assist against Old Dominion earlier in the week. She has nine goals and three assists on the season and her eight draw controls tie for team best. Dolan's 93 career-points ranks her seventh in the program records.
The sophomore standout, Bell, earned her first A-10 Performer of the Week after finishing first in the 100-meter hurdles (15.22) at the Shamrock Invitational. This is Bell's first A-10 Performer of the Week.
Rhue also competed at the Shamrock Invitational, taking first in the1500-meter race with a time of 4:02.25. This is the junior's first A-10 Performer of the Week honor.
