Track and Field Competed In The Carolina Fast Times Yesterday

Chapel Hill, N.C.-Seniors Kevin Rhue (Virginia Beech, Va.) and Julee Wilson (Chester Springs, Pa.) of the University of Richmond men's and women's track and field teams turned in fourth-place performances in the finals of the Carolina Fast Times Invitational held in Chapel Hill, N.C., yesterday. Team scores were not kept in this meet.
Competing in a 16-team event for the men, Rhue finished fourth in the 3000 meter run at 8:31.49, while sophomore John Ciccarelli (Southbury, Conn.) finished in 14th-place with a time of 8:56.14.
Wilson's 18-05.25 performance in the long jump earned her a fourth-place finish, while her 26.22 effort in the 200 meter dash came in 19th place. Freshman Rachel Brushett (Silver Springs, Md.) garnered 12th place in the high jump at 5-02.25.
The Spiders travel, next, to Newport News, Va. for the CNU Invitational on Jan. 23rd.
