Men's Golf Completes Windon Memorial Classic

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - After responding with a 298 in the second round, Richmond fired a 305 in the final round and finished 16th at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill. The Spiders shot a 307 in the first round for a combined 910 at the par-71 Conway Farms Golf Course.
Junior Tyler Randol led the Spiders with a 224 (74-73-77) and tied for 35th. Sophomore John Pelet finished six strokes back of Pelet with a 230 (79-74-77).
Freshmen Chris Bagley (77-81-75--233) and Jordan Utley (82-77-76--235) and senior Steven Sherck (77-74-85--236) also competed for Richmond.
Host Northwestern won the event after shooting a three-round 865. Purdue's Peter Richardson won the individual medal with a 212 (70-68-74).
The Spiders return to action next week at the Xavier Invitational in Cincinnati.
