Men's Golf Finishes Eighth At Bradford Creek

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Freshman John Pelet fired a final-round 71 to lead the Spiders and finish tied for 23rd at the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate today. As a team, Richmond finished eighth after shooting a three-round 879 (290-296-293).
Pelet improved each day, responding with a second-round 72 and today's 71 after shooting a 76 in the first round.
Campbell University won the event by carding a three-round 852 (286-280-286). The Camels' Braxton Wynns finished tied atop the leaderboard with UNC Greensboro's Andy Bare after shooting a 205 at the par-72 course.
Senior Kyle Hess placed second for Richmond and tied for 29th overall after firing a 220 (73-74-73) this weekend. He finished one stroke better than junior Steven Sherck who tied for 34th (70-73-78) and two strokes better than sophomore Tyler Randol who tied for 45th after shooting a 222 (71-77-74). Senior Sam Sikes (77-78-75-230/T-90) also competed for the Spiders.
Richmond returns to action at the Princeton Invitational on April 9-10.
