Women's Golf In Third after Two Rounds At Ross Resorts

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - Sophomore Natasha Lopez Moreira (Asuncion, Paraguay) is tied for seventh as the University of Richmond women's golf team is in third place after two rounds at the Ross Resorts Invitational at Pine Needles Golf Club.
Moreira rebounded from an opening round 79 to shoot a 1-over par 72 in the second round and finish the day at 9-over 151 on the par 71, 6,139-yard course.
Senior Lauren Ritter (Watchung, N.J.) also shot a 79 in the first round, but carded a 3-over 74 in the afternoon to sit in a tie for 11th with an 11-over 153. Sophomore Ally Caffrey (Rumford, R.I.) carded a pair of 78s and is tied for 19th at 14-over par.
Freshman Rosario Germino (Necohea, Argentina) and junior Ashley Lambert (Bradenton, Fla.) are tied for 32nd at 160.
Georgia State is in first place with a 598 and Augusta State is in second at 606. Richmond is in third at 616, while Yale and Rollins are tied for fourth at 619.
The third and final round of the Ross Resorts Invitational will be played Tuesday morning.
