No. 17 Spiders Win Atlantic 10 Title With 41-7 Victory Over William & Mary

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Stacy Tutt rushed for three touchdowns and Richmond dominated in the first half as the Spiders rolled to a 41-7 win over William & Mary Saturday.
Richmond (7-1, 8-3 Atlantic 10) has scored more than 41 points just three times in the 115-game series with William & Mary. The Tribe (5-6, 3-5) ended the season with four straight losses.
In the first half, the Spiders rolled to a 34-0 lead holding William & Mary to 20 yards of total offense and no first downs. Tutt had scoring runs of 1 and 5 yards, Joseph Fore had a pair of field goals and Tim Hightower and David Freeman ran for first-half touchdowns.
The Tribe scored on its first possession of the second half. Quarterback Jacob Phillips connected with Elliott Mack for a 15-yard touchdown. William & Mary accounted for 75 of its 107 yards of total offense in the game during that drive.
Tutt wrapped up the scoring with a 10-yard run with 4:08 remaining in the game.
Hightower finished with 111 yards on 20 carries. Tutt completed 17-of-25 passes for 197 yards and rushed for 92 yards on 17 carries.
Phillips was held to 9-of-19 for 78 yards and two interceptions.
