Men's Golf Seventh After First Day

First and Second Round Results
HOWIE IN THE HILLS, Fla. - Led by senior Steven Sherck, who carded a two-round 150 (77-73) and is tied for 19th, the Richmond men's golf team is seventh heading into Tuesday's final round at the 2005 Irish Spring Invitational in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla.
Playing on the par-72 El Campeon Course at the Mission Inn Resort, the Spiders carded a 309-298-607 on the first day of competition.
Following Sherck is junior Tyler Randol who shot a 163 (77-76) and is tied for 34th. Freshman Billy Hanes (76-78--154) is tied for 38th, while classmate Chris Bagley responded from a first-round 84 with the team's lowest round of the afternoon, 72, to finish with a 156.
Sophomore John Pelet also carded a 156 (79-77) and is tied with Bagley at 43rd.
The final round tees off early Tuesday morning.
