Women's Golf Places Ninth At Lady Seahawk Invitational

WALLACE, N.Y. - Sophomore Ashley Lambert shot a 78 in all three rounds and tied for 13th at the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational after carding a 234 and leading the Spiders to a ninth-place finish (313-328-314--955) at the River Landing Golf Course.
Lambert finished one stroke better than freshman Natasha Lopez Moreira, whose 235 (77-82-76) tied her for 22nd. Moreira's 76 on Tuesday was the lowest single round by a Spider at the event.
Freshman Ally Caffrey finished just one shot behind Moreira with a three-round 236 (74-82-80). She was followed by juniors Lesley Monachino (84-86-84--254) and Lauren Ritter (89-87-80--256).
Georgia State won the team title by firing a 214 (299-306-309). Elon's Morgan Olds shot a one-under-par 71 on Tuesday to race into the lead and capture the individual medal with a 222 (77-74-71).
The Spiders compete at the CAA Championships on April 16-17 in Hot Springs, Va.
