PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Richmond women's golf team will participate in the Princeton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
This will be the second tournament of the year for the Spiders, who finished 13th in a strong 20-team field at the Cougar Classic on Sept. 11-12. Eleven of the 20 teams at the Cougar Classic played in the NCAA Regionals last spring and Richmond finished ahead of two of those teams.
Freshman Rosario Germino (Necohea, Argentina), who led the Spiders with an 11-over par 227 at the Cougar Classic, will be one of six Richmond players making the trip to Princeton. Junior Ashley Lambert (Bradenton, Fla.), sophomore Ally Caffrey (Rumford, R.I.), senior Lesley Monachino (Shaker Heights, Ohio) and senior Lauren Ritter (Watchung, N.J.) will also be in the starting lineup.
Freshman Julia Nouss (Saint Louis, Mo.) will be traveling with the team, but playing the Princeton Invitational as an individual.
After Princeton, the Spiders will return to action the following weekend at the Lady Kat Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
