Women's Golf Finishes Third At Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Richmond's Rosario Germino carded at two-round score of 151 to place fifth individually at the Princeton Women's Invitational, leading the Spiders to a third-place finish and a team score of 631. The Spiders finished six back of second-place Yale in the team race.
Germino, who led the Spiders in round one with a five-over 77, again led the team in today's final round with a two-over 74 for a total of 151. Germino finished one shot out of fourth and six back of the tournament's champion, Sharla Cloutier of Princeton (145).
Ally Caffrey turned in a second-round 76 for a two-round score of 156 and ninth place. Caffrey fired an 80 in the tournament's first round.
Ashley Lambert and Lauren Ritter finished tied for 31st with total scores of 163. Lambert carded a 79 in yesterday's first round, then shot 84 in today's round. Ritter came in with an 87 in the tournament's first day then shot a 76 to end the tournament.
Lesley Monachino shot rounds of 88 and 82, consecutively, to finish tied for 51st with a score of 170.
Richmond returns to the course for more fall golf action, Friday, Oct. 1 when it travels to Lexington, Ky., for the Lady Kat Golf Invitational. The two-day event wraps up Sunday, Oct. 2.
