Jessica Young Named Atlantic 10 Rookie Of Week

University of Richmond freshman Jessica Young was named Atlantic 10 Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the second time after as many meets.
Young earned the honor after finishing third in both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the University of Maryland Invitational. The Columbia, S.C. native and graduate of Ridge View High ran the 60 dash in 7.56 seconds, just .01 of a second behind her own school record. She also finished the 200 dash in 25.18 seconds.
Young also earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after setting a school record of 7.55 in the 60 dash in her first collegiate race on Dec. 10 at the Liberty Invitational.
Richmond competed at the non-scoring University of Maryland Invitational on Saturday, their second meet of the season. The Spiders return to action this coming weekend
