GLEN ALLEN, Va. - The Richmond women's golf team will host the Spider Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Virginia Crossings Golf Club.
The 36-hole, 12-team tournament starts on Monday at 7:45 a.m. and Richmond will begin teeing off starting at 8:28 a.m. The second round will take place on Tuesday, beginning at 7:45 a.m.
The Tradition course at Virginia Crossings will be playing at 6,038 yards with a par of 72.
"We're excited about hosting the Spider Fall Invitational," Richmond head coach Leighann Albaugh. "This is a tournament that we think we have a chance to win. This would be a significant accomplishment for the program as it would be the first victory in program, but that's our goal."
Richmond will play with a lineup of sophomore Rosario Germino, freshman Anne Sprick, senior Ashley Lambert, freshman Victoria Kidder and freshman Lauren Folgosa. This is the same lineup that has played in all three of Richmond's previous tournaments this season.
The Spiders' best finish was seventh at the Penn State Invitational, Sept. 22-24.
Other participating teams at the Spider Fall Invitational are Boston College, Bucknell, Campbell, Citadel, Cleveland State, High Point, James Madison, Longwood, Marshall, Virginia "B" and William & Mary.
