Women's Golf Finishes 16th At Spring Season Opener

Miami, Fla. - The University of Richmond women's golf team finished 16th out of 20 teams at the Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship at the par 73 Miccosukee Golf & Country Club.
The Spiders finished their first tournament of the spring season at 976. Richmond scored a 328 in both the morning and afternoon rounds on Tuesday, and improved in Wednesday's final round with a 320.
Junior Ashley Lambert shot a 78 Wednesday to finish the tournament at 18-over par 237 (79-80-78) in a tie for 48th. Freshman Rosario Germino tied for 67th with a 242 (80-81-81). Senior Lauren Ritter tied for 70th with a 244 (85-80-79).
Senior Whitney McComis had a 254 (84-87-83) to tie for 93rd and senior Lesley Monachino tied for 100th with 264 (89-93-82).
Richmond returns to action on March 6-7 at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in Orlando, Fla.
