Tim Courtney Named Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Rookie Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond freshman Tim Courtney was named Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Rookie of the Week for the fourth time after tying for 20th at the rain-shortened William & Mary Invitational held on March 20.
Courtney shot a 3-over-par 74 in the event's only round. He shot a 3-over-par 38 on the front nine and an even-par on the back nine of the par-71, 6,831-yard River Course at the Kingsmill Resort & Golf Club. The River Course was the home a PGA Tour stop for 22 years and is currently the home of a LPGA Event.
Courtney, who is fourth on the team with a 74.8 stroke average, has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week four times and the conference's Performer of the Week once.
Richmond finished fourth out of 22 teams with a 14-over-par 298. The Spiders return to action April 1-2 at the Towson Invitational in Baltimore.
