Women's Golf Takes Third At Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - The University of Richmond women's golf team finished third out of 13 teams at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational held Monday in Tuesday at Tuscawilla Country Club.
The Spiders were in second place after two rounds on Monday, but dropped to third, finishing two shots behind Florida Southern. Rollins, the tournament host, won the tournament for the second-straight year with a 913. Richmond shot a 318 Tuesday after rounds of 311 and 317 to finish at 946. Florida Southern used a 315 Tuesday to finish at 944 and overtake the Spiders for second place.
Richmond junior Natasha Lopez Moreira finished 10th, her sixth-career top-10 finish. Moreira finished at 232 (76-79-77).
Freshman Rosario Germino took 21st with a 239 (78-80-81), while senior Lauren Ritter (82-82-81=245) tied for 29th and senior Whiney McComis (84-90-89=263) tied for 67th.
Richmond returns to action on March 27-28 at the Lady Seahawk Invitational in Wallace, N.C.
