
Incoming Freshman Victoria Kidder Qualifies For U.S. Women's Amateur

CONCORD, Mass. - Richmond incoming freshman Victoria Kidder shot a 1-over-par 73 at Concord Country Club on Wednesday to qualify for the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur.
Kidder, a native of Boston, Mass., will play in the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore., Aug. 7-13.
Kidder will enroll in Richmond in the fall and begin play with the Spider women's golf team. She comes to Richmond after a standout career at Noble and Greenough School in Massachusetts. Kidder played on the girls' golf team as a freshman, before playing her final three years on the boy's team.
The Independent School League girls' champion in 2006, Kidder was named All-Independent School League in 2004 and 2006. She qualified for the Callaway World Juniors in 2004, the U.S. Girls' Junior in 2005.
