Men's Golf Tied For Third At Lacrosse Homes Invitational

GRASONVILLE, Md. - Richmond junior Jordan Utley shot an even-par 72 as the Spiders are tied for third after the first round of the Lacrosse Homes collegiate Invitational, played Saturday at Prospect Bay Golf Club.
Utley is tied for third, two strokes off the leader in the clubhouse. Richmond is one stroke out of second place and five strokes behind first-place St. John's entering Sunday's second and final round.
Sophomore Grant Rafield is tied for 19th at 2-over 74 (35-39), while sophomore Tim Courtney and junior Billy Hanes are tied for 29th at 4-over 76. Senior John Pelet is tied for 44th at 5-over-par 77.
The Spiders won this tournament, hosted by Towson University, last spring. The final round of the 36-hole tournament will be played Sunday.
