Roush Earns Second Atlantic 10 Rookie Of Week Honor

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond freshman Heather Roush was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of Week after breaking her own school record in the discus this weekend at the Legacy Invitational.
Roush threw the discus 144-feet-0 to break her previous school mark by two inches and win the event. The freshman from Poneto, Ind. also finished third in the javelin with a personal best toss of 124-8 and took ninth in the shot put with a heave of 37-8.
This is the second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor for Roush and Richmond's fifth in six weeks for the award this spring.
Richmond returns to action on Thursday at the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
