Richmond head coach Mike London
On overall assessment of the game...
"This was one of my best games of my coaching career I have ever been apart of. What a great college football game that was. The venue here is electric and outstanding. I'm very proud of our team and organization for never quitting and I appreciated being apart of this game."
On what this means for the Richmond football program...
"I tell you what this means is that we are going to the national championship game. We just found a way to win the game and towards the end the hurry up mode might have got them (UNI) off-tempo."
On how he felt at the end of the game...
"I'm a man a faith and I'm just praising God for the opportunity to be around such a great group of men."
On what he thought of the environment of the UNI-Dome...
"This is probably one of the loudest environments I have ever been in."
Richmond quarterback Eric Ward
On the last drive what were you trying to accomplish...
"We began the drive with about two minutes and just wanted to chunk away at them and just keep moving the ball."
On running the flea flicker early in the game to score a touchdown...
"First time we have ran it in a game this year, but we have run it a lot in practice."
On being down 20-7 starting the fourth quarter...
"I knew we weren't out of the game and I was confident enough we were going to get some stops from our defense."
Richmond tight end Joe Stewart
On the last drive...
"It was great and he (Ward) finished it with a perfect ball to me."
Richmond running back Josh Vaughn
On if it was a tough playing a team that is so good at stopping the run...
"I don't believe so we had over 100 yards or something rushing, but that's the tale of this team. They start shutting down the run and it starts to open up the passing game."
Richmond safety Michael Ireland
On if there was anything the coaches said on the sideline to put a stop to UNI's offense after the third quarter...
"Not really we had a pretty good game plan going into it so it was more of just doing what were taught to do."
UNI Head Coach Mark Farley
On his emotions about the game...
"It's hard and it's so disappointing because you feel so bad for the guys who are sitting in that locker room. I'm just so proud of them and what they did to get this point. You're so pleased for them but you feel so bad for them at the same time."
On if he would have done anything differently towards the end of the game...
"Yes. What I was trying to do was have our players win the game the way they had all season. Our defense has been good all year and I thought they would make a stop. There is no question I would have liked to give the players a couple more opportunities to makes some plays."
On how he felt about missing two field goals...
"You know you can beat yourself up over things and we might have left two touchdowns or three field goals out there but when you get to the final four those are the things that happen."
UNI defensive end James Ruffin
On what he is thinking...
"All I am thinking about is those seniors. They stuck with us all year and I can't put into words what they mean to us."
On being up 13 points going into the fourth quarter...
"I was very confident and all season our defense has made plays, but Richmond made some plays."
UNI quarterback Pat Grace
On what happened when he dropped a wide open throw back pass from wide receiver D.P. Eyman...
"I just took my eye off the ball and thought about running before I caught it."
On what he is thinking
"I'm just thinking about those seniors and in particular my offensive lineman Bob Swift. Those guys mean a lot to us and this progam."
