
Walker Named Atlantic 10 Rookier Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond freshman Daniel Walker was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after posting a pair of top-5 finishes last week.
Walker placed third in helping lead the Spiders to the tournament title at the Frank Landrey Invitational and then tied for fourth in leading Richmond to a fourth-place finish at the Big 5 Invitational.
The Earlysville, Va. native has finished in the top-10 three times in his first four collegiate tournaments.
Walker shot a 1-over 72 and 2-over 73 to finish at 3-over 145 and tie for fourth at the Big 5 Invitational. He shot a 1-under 71 and 3-under 69 on his way to a 2-over 216 and a third-place finish at the Landrey Invitational.
This is the second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor for Walker, who is third on the team with a 74.18 scoring average.
The Spiders finish the fall season at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational, Oct. 19-20 in Beallsville, Md.
