
Walker Named Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Player And Rookie Of Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Freshman Daniel Walker was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week after posting his third-straight top-5 finish to close the fall season.
Walker tied for fifth at the Georgetown Intercollegiate at 4-over-par 146 to lead the Spiders to a third-place finish as a team.
The Earlysville, Va. native has finished in the top-10 in four of his first five collegiate tournaments, including the three top-5 finishes. He is third on the team in scoring average at 74.00.
Walker tied for seventh in his first collegiate tournament, the Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate, placed third at the Frank Landrey Invitational and tied for fourth at the Big 5 Invitational.
This is Walker's second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor and his first A-10 Player of the Week award.
Richmond finished the fall season with four top-3 finishes in five tournaments, including a pair of runner-up finishes at the Missouri Tiger Invitational and Big 5 Invitational and a tournament title at the Frank Landrey Invitational.
