Evans Shoots 1-Over 73 As Women's Golf Moves Up Five Spots

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Freshman Jackie Evans shot a 1-over 73 and the Richmond women's golf team shot a 310 in the second round of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic.
The Spiders are at 640, moving up five spots on the leader board to sit in a tie for 27th out of 43 teams.
The third and final round of the Kiawah Island Classic will be played Tuesday at Oak Point Golf Club.
"We showed a lot of improvement today," Richmond head coach Leighann Albaugh said. "Jackie played very solid, especially for a freshman. Lauren and Victoria also had solid rounds. Now we just have to finish strong on Tuesday and see if we can move up even more."
Evans is tied for 51st at 11-over 155 and junior Lauren Folgosa shot a 4-over-76 in the second round to move up to a tie for 77th at 14-over 158.
Junior Victoria Kidder shot a 6-over 78 Monday and is tied for 123rd at 163. Junior Anne Sprick is tied for 130th at 164 and sophomore Jillian Fraccola is tied for 170th at 170.
