Men's Golf In 14th Place At Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE, La. - Freshman Brad Miller is at 3-over-par 147 to lead Richmond through the first two rounds at the Louisiana Classics, played Monday at Oakbourne Country Club.
The Spiders shot a 301 in the morning round and a 303 in the afternoon to sit at 604 heading into Tuesday's final round.
Miller is tied for 37th after shooting a 1-over-par 73 in the first round and a 2-over 74 in the second round. Junior Robert Lindstrom is tied for 39th at 2-over 148 after rounds of 73 and 75.
"Brad and Robert played well today," Richmond head coach Adam Decker said. "The scores were pretty low today, we are going to need string some birdies together tomorrow to move up a couple of spots on the leader board."
Richmond is in 14th place, one shot out of 13th and four shots out of 12th place.
Sophomore Sam Beach and senior Grant Rafield are tied for 68th at 156. Beach shot a 76 in the first round and an 80 in the second round. Rafield had an 81 in the first and a 3-over 75 in the second round. Senior Tim Courtney is tied for 75th at 158, having shot a 79 in each round.
