Gray Named CAA Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond sophomore Christina Gray claimed the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week for the week ending March 24 after finishing fourth and helping the Spiders to a second-place finish at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate.
Gray shot a 2-over-par 74 in the second round to finish at 7-over-par 151 and post her second top-five finish of the 2008-09 season. The Tampa, Fla. native led the Spiders to a second-place finish at William & Mary's First Market Bank Intercollegiate at the Ford's Colony Country Club.
This was the second CAA Player of the Week award for Gray this season. The Tampa, Fla. native leads the Spiders in scoring average at 76.15, including a school-record round of 69 last fall at the Towson Invitational.
The Spiders return to action on March 30 at the Hoya Invitational in Beallesville, Md.
