Gray, Spiders Tied For Fifth At Hoya Invitational

BEALLESVILLE, Md. - Sophomore Christina Gray is tied for fifth and the Richmond women's golf team is tied for fifth out of 15 teams after two rounds at the Hoya Invitational.
The Spiders shot a 337 in the morning round Monday and a 315 in the afternoon to sit at 652, six shots out of fourth-place Rollins and eight shots behind third-place William & Mary heading into the third and final round Tuesday morning.
Gray, the reigning CAA Player of the Week, shot a 77 in the first round and a 78 in the second round, which puts her at 11-over 155 on the par-72, 6,127-yard course. The Tampa, Fla. native will be going for her second-straight top-5 finish and her third this season.
Junior Lauren Folgosa is tied for 7th at 13-over 157, having shot an 81 in the morning round and a 4-over 76 in the second round.
Sophomore Jillian Fraccola is tied for 29th at 167, after rounds of 90 and 5-over 77. Junior Anne Sprick and freshman Jackie Evans are tied for 57th at 175. Sprick shot a 91 and 84 and Evans shot 89 and 86.
