
Women's Golf Finishes Fourth At EKU Invitational

RICHMOND, Ky. - Sophomore Jillian Fraccola tied for 15th to lead the Richmond women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the EKU Lady Colonel Invitational, completed Sunday.
The Spiders finished the tournament at 933 with rounds of 312, 310 and 311, posting their fourth top-5 finish and sixth top-10 finish in nine tournaments this season.
This was Richmond's final tune-up before the CAA Women's Golf Championship which opens Friday in Callaway Gardens, Ga.
"This was a good finish in our final tournament before the CAA Championship," Richmond head coach Leighann Albaugh said. "We feel like we are really coming together as a team and are definitely peaking as we head down to Georgia for the conference championship."
Fraccola tied for 15th with a 17-over 233 on the par-72, 5,817-yard Arlington Golf Club course. She shot a 79 in the first round, followed by a pair of 77s in the final two rounds.
Junior Victoria Kidder tied for 17th at 18-over 234, shooting rounds of 77, 76 and 81.
Junior Lauren Folgosa tied for 26th at 237 (76-84-77), while junior Anne Sprick and sophomore Christina Gray tied for 35th at 239. Sprick shot 80, 79 and 80, while Gray shot 84, 78 and 77.
