Fraccola Named CAA Women's Golf Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond sophomore Jillian Fraccola was named CAA Women's Golf Player of the Week after tying for 15th and lead the Spiders to a fourth-place finish at the EKU Lady Colonel, played this past weekend.
Fraccola finished the tournament at 19-over 233 with a 79 in the first round and a pair of 77s in the second and third rounds on the par-72, 5,817-yard Arlington Golf Club course.
She led the Spiders to their fourth top-5 finish of the 2008-09 season, the most top-5 finishes entering the CAA Championship in program history.
Fraccola is third on the team in scoring average and has four top-20 finishes this season. She is the second Spider to earn CAA Player of the Week honors this spring, joining teammate Christina Gray.
Richmond opens play in the 2009 CAA Championship on Friday at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountains, Ga.
