Folgosa Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior women's golfer Lauren Folgosa was named to the 2008-09 All-American Scholar team by the National Golf Coaches Association for the third time in her career.
Criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team include a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participation in at least 50 percent of team competitions. Nationally, 410 golfers were recognized from Division I, II and III athletic programs.
Folgosa finished the 2008-09 season with a scoring average of 79.08, the second best on Richmond's women's golf team. During the season she had one top-10 finish, three top-15 finishes and five top-20 finishes in 10 events.
The honor is Folgosa's third in as many years at Richmond.
