Martin, Pinder Have Women's Golf In Third At Spider Invitational

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - Sophomore Tracy Martin shot a 1-under-par 71 in the second round Monday to move into a tie for fifth and Richmond is in third entering Tuesday's final round of the Spider Invitational.
Martin shot a 79 in the opening round and a 1-under 71 in the second round on the par-72, 6,048-yard Independence Golf Club. She is tied for fifth at 150, five shots off the lead.
Richmond freshman Danielle Pinder followed an opening-round 79 with a 1-over 73 in the second round, which has her in eighth place at 152.
Sophomore Caroline Lovette, who won the tournament last year as a freshman, is 15th at 156 after a pair of 78s. Freshman Lauren Conder is tied for 22nd at 159 (78-81) and sophomore Courtney Rousse is in 48th at 177.
Richmond freshman Krystin Schwarze is in 34th at 166 and freshman Viviana Perez is tied for 42nd at 172.
The third and final round of the Spider Invitational tees off at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
