Fraccola Tied For 11th, Spiders In 7th At CAA Championship

HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Junior Jillian Fraccola is tied for 11th place and the Richmond women's golf team is in seventh-place after the first round of the CAA Women's Golf Championship played Friday at the The Homestand.

The Spiders shot a 35-over-par 323, finishing one shot behind sixth-place William & Mary and four shots behind fifth-place Old Dominion. Xavier is in fourth at 28-over 316, James Madison is in third at 21-over, Georgia State is in second at 20-ovre and UNC-Wilmington is in first place at 19-over-par.
Fraccola shot a 78 to lead the Spiders and is tied for 11th, just one shot out of a tie for seventh, two shots out of fifth and four shots off the leader, Carmen Perez-Narbon of UNCW.
Richmond senior Anne Sprick shot an 80 and is tied for 18th, one shot out of a 15th place. Richmond freshman Courtney Rousse carded an 82 to sit in a tie for 24th, while freshman Tracy Martin carded an 83 and is in a tie for 30th. Senior Lauren Folgosa is tied for 38th with an 86.
