Fraccola Tied For Sixth, Spiders Three Shots Out Of Fourth Entering Final Round

HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Junior Jillian Fraccola shot her second-straight 78 to move into a tie for sixth and the Richmond women's golf team closed within three shots of fourth place after the second round of the CAA Championship played Saturday at The Homestead.
The Spiders shot a 325 on Saturday, moving from seventh place up to sixth, 15 shots ahead of Old Dominion. Richmond is just three shots out of a tie for fourth place with William & Mary and Xavier entering Sunday's final round.
Fraccola carded a 6-over 78 for the second-straight day to climb from a tie for 11th after the first round into a two-way tie for sixth after two rounds. At 12-over 156, she is two shots out of fifth place and six shots out of second place.
Spider freshman Tracy Martin shot a 7-over 79 on Saturday and is in 20th place at 18-over 162. Senior Anne Sprick is one shot behind Martin in a tie for 21st at 19-over. Sprick followed an opening round 80 with an 83 on Saturday.
Senior Lauren Folgosa is tied for 35th at 171 and freshman Courtney Rousse is in 42nd place with a 173.
