Women's Golf Wraps Up Season Sixth At CAA Championship

HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Junior Jillian Fraccola finished 17th to lead the Richmond women's golf team to a sixth-place finish out of 10 teams at the 2010 CAA Championship, completed Sunday at The Homestead.
The Spiders shot their lowest round of the 54-hole tournament on Sunday, carding a 320 to finish at 968, 21 shots ahead of seventh-place Old Dominion. Facing extremely windy conditions over the tournament's first two days, Richmond shot a 323 in the first round and a 325 in the second round.
Richmond freshman Tracy Martin took 20th at 242. Martin shot an 83 in the first round, a 79 in the second round and an 80 in the final round.
Spider senior Anne Sprick finished her collegiate career tying for 23rd at 247 (80-83-84), while fellow senior Lauren Folgosa ended her career making a par put on her final hole to tie for 28th at 250 (86-85-79).
Richmond freshman Courtney Rousse tied for 32nd at 251 (82-91-78).
