UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior Robert Lindstrom was named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team in voting conducted among the conference's sports information directors.
Lindstrom tied for fourth at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship, finishing at 5-over-par 218 to earn Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors and help the Spiders to a runner-up finish.
His fourth place finish at the conference title was the third-best finish for a Richmond golfer at the A-10 Championship and the Spiders' runner-up finish was the highest since joining the league in 2002.
This is Lindstrom's his first Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference selection. He was named to the Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar Team as a junior.
The Hunsville, Ala. native had a 74.70 scoring average in 2009-10, playing in all 10 events for the Spiders. He posted three top-10 finishes and five top-15 finishes, including his fourth-place finish at the A-10 Championship. He also tied for fifth in helping lead the Spiders to the team title at the Frank Landrey Invitational.
