Senior Robert Lindstrom and junior Michael Shrader were named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Team.
To be eligible for the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Division I Team, the student-athlete must be a junior or senior, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
It was Lindstrom's second-straight year being named to the All-America Scholar Team. Lindstrom and Shrader give head coach Adam Decker six All-American Scholar Team honorees in his five years at Richmond.
"I am really proud of Robert and Michael for receiving this award," Decker said. "It highlights their dedication to golf and school work. These two are true student-athletes and work hard at both their sport and excelling in the classroom."
Lindstrom also received Atlantic 10 All-Conference and Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference honors this spring. He tied for fourth at the A-10 Championship, one of three top-10 finishes during his senior year. He was third on the team with a 74.70 scoring average in 2009-10 with a season-low round of 69.
Lindstrom tied for fifth in helping the Spiders to the team title at the Frank Landrey Invitational and finished 10th at the Turning Stone Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate. Lindstrom was a PING All-Mid Atlantic Region selection as a sophomore.
Shrader was fourth on the team with a 75.58 scoring average in 2009-10, with four top-15 finishes. He placed third at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, tied for 11th at the Big 5 Invitational, tied for 13th at the Rutherford Intercollegiate and tied for 14th at the Turning Stone Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate.
Shrader was an Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection as a sophomore in 2008-09 when he led the Spiders with a 74.52 scoring average.
