UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond men's golf team was named one of the Golf Coaches Association of America's All-Academic Teams for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better last year.
"I am very exited for this group to be recognized for all the hard work they put into their academics," Richmond head coach Adam Decker said. "They work hard in the classroom and at practice to represent the University, and all of them are doing an outstanding job of that."
Graduating senior Robert Lindstrom and current senior Michael Shrader were named to the GCAA Academic All-America Team, while Lindstrom also received Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference honors.
The Spiders also took care of business on the golf course last season, finishing second at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship, the best finish since joining the league.
