
Decker Qualifies For 2011 PGA Professional Championship

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Richmond head coach Adam Decker tied for ninth at the 2010 Mid Atlantic PGA Professional Championship to qualify for the 2011 PGA Professional Championship to be held in June at Hershey (Pa.) Country Club.
Decker, who is entering his sixth year as head coach at Richmond, shot a 1-over 216 in the 54-hole tournament, tying for ninth in the field of 155 golfers.
He carded an even-par 71 in the first round, 2-over 73 in the second round and 1-over 72 in the final round at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg.
The Long Island, N.Y. native was an All-American at Penn State, earning Mid-Atlantic Regiona Player of the Year honors as a senior and finishing second at the 1996 NCAA East Regional.
Decker played six years of professional golf, including PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour events.
