Fraccola Leads, Spiders Two Back After CAA Day 1

PINEHURST, N.C. - Senior Jillian Fraccola is tied for the lead at 1-over-par 73 and the Richmond women's golf team is tied for second, two shots off the lead after the first round of the 2011 CAA Championship, played Friday at Pinehurst No. 6.
The second round of the 54-hole tournament will be played Saturday and the final round is Sunday.
Fraccola is tied with William & Mary's Catroline Sweet at 1-over 73. The Spiders are at 21-over-par 309, tied with Old Dominion and two shots behind first-place Georgia State.
James Madison and UNC-Wilminton are tied for fourth at 312, Xavier (313) is in sixth, William & Mary (319) is seventh, Towson (326) is eighth, Dayton (338) is ninth and Hofstra (344) is 10th.
Richmond sophomore Tracy Martin is tied for eighth at 4-over 76 and fellow sophomore Caroline Lovette is tied for 13th at 6-over 78. Freshman Lauren Conder (82) is tied for 28th and senior Christina Gray is in 50th.
