Wo Men's Soccer Tabbed Third In Preseason Poll

The Richmond women's soccer team has been selected to finish third in a preseason poll as voted by the league's head coaches the Atlantic 10 announced Thursday.
2010 A-10 Rookie of the Year and first team honoree Becca Wann was chosen as a preseason All Conference selection.
Wann, a Chesterfield native, led Richmond with 10 tallies last season and was second in the league with four game-winning goals. Wann's 70 shots took fifth on Richmond's single season list. Wann was an All Conference first team and All Rookie selection.
The Spiders return to campus after having played two seasons off-site at nearby Ukrop Park. Richmond adds nine fresh faces to the lineup, including imports Drika Bianchin and Katie Lord from Brazil and England respectively.
The Spiders will host eight games at Robins Stadium, four of which will be A-10 foes.
The six-team A-10 Women's Soccer Championship will be held Nov. 3-6 at Baujan
Field on the campus of the University of Dayton.
