Paced by junior Daniel Walker, who was named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week on Sept. 14, the Spiders opened their season two weeks ago at the Marshall Invitational. Walker carded a pair of five-under par 66s in the first two rounds and finished seventh overall, and Richmond finished seventh as a team.
Last season, Richmond claimed a fourth-place finish at the VCU Shootout, led by the sixth-place showing from now-junior Nick Austin's two-under par 214 (72-72-70).
