10/31/2012 | Women's Golf
RICHMOND, Va. - After finishing the fall season with another top-10 finish, University of Richmond Spiders senior golfer Tracy Martin earned her second CAA Golfer of the Week honor on Wednesday, the league office announced. Martin previously won CAA Golfer of the Week on October 17.
In the final tournament of the fall, Martin notched second top-10 of the year and the fifth of her career at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. Martin tied for ninth place, shooting rounds of 72-72-76 to end the 54-hole tournament with a score of 220 (+4). Martin's three-round total is tied for the sixth best score in program history.
Martin was terrific in the Spiders' four tournaments this fall, averaging a team-best stroke average of 74.08. If Martin were able to maintain that average in the spring, it would represent the best season-stroke average in school history by over two strokes.
