Miller Leads Spiders at Coca-Cola Invite after First Day

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The University of Richmond Spiders men's golf team carded rounds of 296-286 to finish the first day at the Coca-Cola Invitational in eight place with a score of 582 (+6). Charleston Southern leads the 18-team field with a two-round team total of 562 (-14).
Senior Brad Miller played two rounds of terrific golf on Monday at the Coca-Cola Invite, carding scores of 73-69 to tie for ninth place overall after 36 holes with a score of 142 (-2). Junior Nick Austin was also solid, finishing the day with a score of 146 (+2) to tie for 29th on rounds of 76-70.
Sophomore Jack Wilkes played consistently on Monday, shooting first and second round scores of 74 to end the day with a total of 148 (+4) and tie for 38th. Junior Daniel Walker is tied for 59th with a score of 149 (+5), while senior Jack Lessing is tied for 72nd with a total of 152 (+8).
The Richmond Spiders men's golf team will wrap up play at the Coca-Cola Invitational on Tuesday in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The third and final round gets started at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
