
Richmond Wo Men's Golf Announces 2012 Fall Slate

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - First-year University of Richmond Spiders head women's golf coach Maggie Will announced the 2012 fall schedule on Thursday. The fall slate includes four tournaments, all in the month of October. The Spiders return all seven letter-winners from last year's team while adding a solid, five-player freshmen class.
"We have four quality events on our schedule this fall," coach Will remarked. "Our returning players and incoming freshmen are excited and ready to play. I believe we will be competitive in these events, which will help improve our ranking."
The Spiders get the 2012-13 season underway on October 1-2, when the team will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to play in the UNCG Starmount. The two-day event will be played at the Starmount Country Club.
Nearly two weeks later, the team will play in the Wendy's Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern University. The tournament, played October 15-16, will be held at the Rivertowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C., the former site of the Ginn LPGA event.
Six days later, Richmond will be back on the course at the Fighting Camel Classic. Thee tournament, hosted by Campbell University, will be played from October 22-23 at the Keith Hill Country Club in Buies Creek, N.C.
The Spiders will wrap up the fall portion of their 2012-13 schedule at the Palmetto Intercollegiate on October 28-29. The event will be played at the Oak Point and Cougar Point Courses at the Kiawah Island Resort.
